Because it amuzed me when he said it, I have been pondering this statement by Dr. Braithwaite since last week. It leaves room for a lot of thought, and it also makes one wonder, "What does it mean?" I expect at least a few of you have thoughts on what it means. :) Want to share?

Oh! That is something to think about!
ReplyDeleteI may have managed to over think that statement (and thus create a crazy theory) in 5 minutes, but...
...Puritanism was not perfect and if we're a "decadent by-product" of it, are we then the weak and corrupt generation from relatively unsound forefathers? If so, then are we not merely the Puritan counter-part of Europe?
The mind reels at the possible implications of that statement!
